SMMUSD Secondary Libraries B&N Book Fair AND Author Event with David Shannon!

Support the SMMUSD Secondary Libraries at the Barnes and Noble Book Fair from Sunday, November 28th through Thursday, December 1st. Head to the 3rd Street Promenade Barnes & Noble and be sure to tell the cashier you're shopping for SMMUSD. You may also make purchases at http://www.bn.com and enter book fair id 10365526 when completing your order. Part of the proceeds will benefit the SMMUSD Secondary Libraries.

As a special treat, on December 1st at 5pm, author/illustrator David Shannon will be signing books! David Shannon is the author/illustrator of No, David!, It’s Christmas, David!, and many more!

LMS Library Book Club

The LMS book club held its first meeting on Thursday, October 21st. During the meeting, the students voted to read "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. If you need a copy of the book, please see Mrs. Urtz in the library.

The students also voted to meet more than once per month. Meetings are now scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month (3:15pm-4:15pm). Meetings will be held in the old library until further notice.

Please join us on November 4th for our next meeting!

Welcome Back to School!

During the summer, the library was moved to its new location. Visit the new library bungalow located on the basketball courts.

The library will open for regular use on Monday, September 27, 2010.
The library hours for the 2010-2011 school year are:

Monday 8:00am-4:30pm
Tuesday 8:00am-4:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am-4:30pm
Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm
Friday 8:00am-3:15pm

Barnes & Noble Book Fair Sunday, June 13th through June 19th.



Celebrate Father’s Day, congratulate your graduate, and get your summer reading books from JUNE 13th through JUNE 19th at BARNES & NOBLE on the Third Street Promenade, all while supporting a Lincoln Library fundraiser. END OF THE YEAR INFORMATION

It's that wonderful time of year when we check in textbooks. Textbooks will be returned June 4th - June 10th. Students will return MATH and SCIENCE textbooks during their MATH classes. Students will return ENGLISH and HISTORY textbooks during their HISTORY classes.

ALL STUDENTS: Check with your teachers to find out which day you will return books.

8TH GRADE STUDENTS: You must clear all library obligations by Friday, June 11th. If you have outstanding library obligations (fees, overdue library books, textbooks), you won't be allowed to participate in the end-of-year activities!

The next meeting of the Lincoln Library book club has been postponed for one week. We will meet on Thursday, May 6th from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. We won't meet on Thursday, April 29th. The club will discuss the book Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen. All students are welcome to join our discussion even if you haven’t attended previous meetings!
